CREATIVE ART
Hope you enjoyed doing thumb art last month.
The festival of Holi is a special time that signals the end of winter and the coming of spring. It is called the festival of colors because bright colors symbolize energy, life and joy.
Both children and adults do lots of mischievous fun. Colored powder made from rice is thrown on people. People are also soaked with colored water. Color is everywhere, decorating houses, on floats, and at fairs.
Memory drawing
Memory drawing is where you memorize a picture and then draw it.
Here are some useful tips that will help children draw any picture beautifully.
- First memorize your topic and sketch lightly with pencil. Then improve on it carefully to complete the final drawing.
- Start with the main figures, followed by those that are, at a distance and finally, fill in the background.
- While drawing human figures, start with the face.
- Draw the main figures large. Those at a distance should be proportionately smaller than the main figures.
- Draw the main figures from the front, from one side or at a three quarter angle, but never from the back.
- Overlapping figures help to form a tighter composition.
- Draw each person with a different posture.
