HINDI MOVIE RELEASES EXPECTED THIS MONTH
This romantic action film is a Hindi remake of the director’s Malayalam film by the same name.
After previous Eid releases of “Wanted” and “Dabangg,” Salman Khan is back, this time playing Lovely Singh, a tough, honest bodyguard who values his job more than life. He is assigned to guard Divya, played by Kareena Kapoor, the mischievous daughter of Sartaj Rana, a business tycoon, played by Raj Babber. The vibrant Divya finds an over-protective bodyguard a major obstacle keeping her from having a normal college life. She comes up with a plan throw him off guard, so to speak, by trapping him in a made-up romantic distraction. Divya becomes an anonymous admirer who is unrelenting in her efforts to break through his defenses. Fate intervenes and Divya is soon the victim of her own doing as she discovers a side to Lovely Singh she couldn’t imagine. Watch for Katrina Kaif, who makes an appearance in an item song along with Salman Khan’s real life bodyguard in this entertainer.

Billed as a love story for all seasons, this film is the directorial debut from veteran actor Pankaj Kapur, who also wrote the screenplay. The first season begins as teenage attraction between Harinder “Harry” Singh, played by Shahid Kapur, and a Kahmiri girl named Aayat played by Sonam Kapoor in a small village in Punjab. Supriya Pathak plays her aunt. Harry and Aayat’s relationship develops in season two and matures through separation in season three. Meanwhile, Harry becomes a fighter pilot in the Air Force. In the final season, their love comes to fruition, but not before much sacrifice and learning. Four historical events form the backdrop for the four different age groups of the protagonists. The makers call the film a journey, a passionate love story seen from various shades of life. The film was shot at various locations, including Nepal, Edinburgh, Switzerland and India. The soundtrack by Pritam has garnered positive reviews and is growing in popularity.

Directed by the award-winning Nishikant Kamat whose previous works are “Dombivali Fast” and “Mumbai Meri Jaan,” ‘FORCE’ is a contemporary action romance boasting state-of-the-art action sequences. This Hindi reinterpretation of the 2003 Tamil blockbuster, “Kaakha Kaakha,” stars John Abraham as Yashvardhan, a renegade cop, who believes the only way to eliminate crime is to give criminals the bullet, not handcuffs. He’s a senior narcotics officer who always ensures justice is served even if it’s not by the book. In the middle of a daring operation to crack down on India’s drug cartels, Yashvardhan faces a ruthless gangster who desperately wants revenge for the damage done by the narcotics team. He also meets the free spirited Maya, played by Genelia D’Souza, who urges him to make a choice between the life he knows and a new life with her. Yashvardhan’s decision to allow happiness into his life changes things forever. The makers promise edge of your seat thrills from start to finish.
