HINDI MOVIE RELEASES EXPECTED THIS MONTH
“HOUSEFULL 2” Starring Akshay Kumar, Ritesh Deshmukh, John Abraham, Asin, Jacqueline Fernandez, Zarine Khan, Shazahn Padamsee, Shreyas Talpade, Mithun Chakraborty, Randhir Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Boman Irani; directed by Sajid Khan; music by Sajid-Wajid.
Billed as an action-comedy, this star-packed sequel to “Housefull” is sure to appeal to those who want to leave reality behind and just be entertained with laughter. Akshay Kumar and Ritesh Deshmukh are back, this time joined by John Abraham and Shreyas Talpade all playing “Jolly.” It tells the story of four fathers, their four daughters and four prospective son-in-laws, who all together make up “the dirty dozen,” the film’s tagline. Each father wants his daughter to marry the richest son-in-law. Each daughter believes she is marrying the richest son-in-law. Meanwhile, each son-in-law is pretending to be the richest son-in-law. All of the characters are devious and flawed but entertaining. Unfortunately, none of these people can stand one another and all are under one roof, in one house. This allows for many amusing situations to arise. Filming took place in England, Thailand and Mumbai. Watch for Malaika Arora Khan in a special appearance in the already-popular item song "Anarkali Disco Chali."
“Chhodo Kal Ki Baatein” Starring Anupam Kher, Sachin Khedekar, Mrinal Kulkarni, Atul Parchure, Anjan Shrivastava, Kishori Ambiye, Shruti Welankar, Barkha Bishit Sengupta, Vijay Patkar, Suresh Menon, Rajesh Upadhya, Kishor Paradhan, Raghvendra Kadkol, Swapnil Rajshekhar; directed by Pramod Joshi; music by Salil Kulkarni.
This light-hearted satire follows the journey of an IT professional Aditya Pradhan, played by Sachin Khedekar. Initially, short-tempered Aditya is a workaholic, who doesn’t prioritize his family. He thinks he needs to work all the time to secure the future. Mrinal Kulkari plays his wife Sakshi, who feels he has become totally self-centered. He’s unpopular with their neighbors and almost everyone who find him rude. The only exception is Aditya’s office colleague Mohan, played by Atul Parchure, with whom he shares a rapport. When Aditya is about to land a big contract, he faces a puzzling situation, which he can’t overcome. He tries to explain it but no one seems to understand. Unexpectedly, a mysterious stranger, a charismatic blind man played by Anupam Kher, solves his problem and helps him realize the essence of life and the importance of living wholeheartedly and in the present. The film is also being released in Marathi as “Kashaala Udyachi Baat.” It’s feel-good cinema suitable for the entire family.
