#OneMillionCandles at Florida Ashram to Dispel Darkness of Coronavirus
The coronavirus pandemic is a darkness that’s causing fear, anxiety and depression. News headlines continue to cause concern, prompting some to isolate themselves and worry about the risks of venturing out.
One of India’s most revered epics is The Mahabharatha, about the great war between the light of the righteous, noble Pandavas and the darkness of the arrogant Kauravas. The symbolism of these stories is meaningful even today.
That’s why, during our modern epic battle, Her Holiness Sarva Loka Maa, Sri Sri Sri 1008 Guruji Poonamji, has launched a movement to lift people of all faiths and backgrounds out of the gloom and into the light of positivity.
“Open the Light Within" offers an opportunity for all people to honor or sponsor the lighting of one million candles at Guruji’s Divine Bliss International ashram at 2319 Nursery Road, Clearwater. Each beautifully decorated candle is tagged with the honoree’s name and is blessed by Guruji, kindling the energies of gratitude, compassion, positivity and selflessness within that person. Those who sign up as “conduits of light” also benefit from live interactions with Guruji that uplift and enhance the soul, releasing the negative forces of fear, depression and isolation stoked by the pandemic.
“If you were to ask me energetically ‘what does my soul look like?’, then it looks like a bright light that is live. In the physical, the closest representation to that is ... a flame,” Guruji says. “It represents you and when you are the one putting that candle here then I can take your energies and uplift you and make you complete. When your flame is here, you are here.”
