Chalo garba ramiye!
We would like to wish our readers a joyous Diwali and a prosperous New Year filled with peace.
We have compiled a list of celebrations for the festival of lights in Florida on pages 1 and 25. Since Navratri is still ongoing, we also have an updated list of activities during the festival of nine nights. However, we cannot lose sight of the fact that there still are several non-festival related happenings in the Sunshine State; they are highlighted on pages 2, 3 and 4.
This month features an in-depth piece by Shobana Daniell on the Arangetram of seven Bharatnatyam dance students in Central Florida (story, page 22). Also, we continue our partnership with INDO-US Chamber of Commerce, Tampa, which we began last month (pages 16, 17). And Khaas Baat is proud to be one of the media sponsors of the Diwali Festival of Lights organized by Indian Religious & Cultural Center on Nov. 19 in Fort Lauderdale.
Community organizers, remember to inform us about events planned in your town. We also accept letters to the editor. Remember, Khaas Baat is the ONE AND ONLY Sunshine State publication that gathers and provides comprehensive coverage of happenings in your Florida Indian community.
