Khaas Baat : A Publication for Indian Americans in Florida

Editor's Note

Happy holidays to our readers.

As the year comes to an end, we want to acknowledge the first-ever Diwali event held in the Governor’s Mansion on Nov. 6 by Ron and Casey DeSantis. Over 200 Indian Americans from all over Florida attended the festivities in the governor’s official residence, an antebellum-style house surrounded by spreading moss-draped live oaks. We also have photo coverage of the Festival of Lights celebrations in Tampa, Orlando and Fort Lauderdale. As always, the Events listing is a source for activities that your family may enjoy such as yoga and meditation classes, holiday parties, senior get-togethers and even a daylong trip.

Have a column or topic you feel strongly about? Send us a letter to the editor. We also welcome your story ideas and suggestions. Organizing an event in your community? Let us know by the 20th to be listed on our Events calendar. Khaas Baat is proud to be the ONE AND ONLY Sunshine State publication to offer comprehensive coverage of happenings in your Florida Indian community.

Do follow us on twitter @khaasbaat and join us on Facebook for details about late-breaking events.
