The story develops in flashbacks and flash-forwards with the lead pair. Paired together for the first time, Katrina Kaif and Sidharth Malhotra star as Diya and Jai. The sweethearts are about to get married when Jai gets cold feet on their wedding day. The story takes a turn when Jai suddenly starts ageing every time he wakes up, first, by 10 days, then two years and 16 years. He then comes to a realization about his present day. RustomBoth are seen in various looks through 30 years of their lives together as a couple. The producers explain the film’s concept this way: what if you had the opportunity to see the future of your relationship with all the usual traumas and find out how good or bad things are or will be? After that, what would you do to change it? The director said it’s about the small moments in life that may pass you by if you don't pay attention. The soundtrack seems to be one chartbuster after another.
