  EDITORS NOTE
By NITISH S. RELE AND SHEPHALI J. RELE - [email protected]

This month, it appears India is the reigning theme at museums in Florida: the Museum of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg and the Museum of Discovery & Science in Fort Lauderdale. We have in-depth stories on both the events on page 1.

Cricket fans in the Tampa Bay area won't want to miss out on a match between West Indies of Tampa Bay and India of Tampa Bay on Sept. 28. Do support this fundraiser for the Carib Project, which is the establishment of a Caribbean American Business and Cultural Center.

Also, you can attend the concert of bhajan and ghazal samrat Anup Jalota on Sept. 19 at India Cultural Center being held to benefit Sanatan Mandir in Tampa.

Last but not the least are the numerous Navratri events throughout the state. We have put together a story on garba-raas in Florida on page 1.

Just a reminder to visit www.khaasbaat.com, which is generating a huge amount of hits every day. We are updating our Web site with late event news after the printed issue of Khaas Baat has been circulated.

Remember, Khaas Baat is the ONE AND ONLY Sunshine State publication to offer comprehensive coverage of happenings in your Florida Indian community. Community leaders, be sure to send in information about upcoming events in your area.
