Kill Dill “Kill DillStarring Ranveer Singh, Ali Zafar, Parineeti Chopra, Govinda; directed by Shaad Ali; music by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.

The director of “Saathiya” and “Bunty aur Babli” brings us this romantic thriller produced by Yash Raj Films. Set in North India, the story centers around two assassins, Dev and Tutu, who were abandoned when they were young. We see Govinda in a negative avatar as Bhaiyaji, who sheltered the two and taught them to kill. Ranveer Singh plays Dev, raw and unflinching as he carries out his job, but there is another side to his personality that’s outgoing, cheerful and vulnerable. Tutu played by Ali Zafar is more reserved with a dry sense of humor. He would go to any extent for friendship. Living life for today, Tutu has no further aspirations. Bhaiyaji is the shrewd authoritarian who controls them both. He is not one to accept defiance. All is normal in their world until the lively Disha, played by Parineeti Chopra, enters. Strong-willed Disha has upright principles and works to rehabilitate ex-convicts. The makers say what follows is a game of defiance, deception and love. The soundtrack by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy features lyrics by Gulzar.

Happy Ending“Happy EndingStarring Govinda, Saif Ali Khan, Ileana D’Cruz, Ranvir Shorey, Kalki Koechlin; directed by Raj Nidimoru, Krishna D.K.; music by Sachin-Jigar.

This quirky romantic comedy features Saif Ali Khan as a cool, laid-back urban character, something he does well. Khan plays Yudi, a flamboyant Hollywood writer. He hasn’t written much in the last few years, having been torn between finding inspiration and finding love. It must be comeback season for Govinda, here he plays Armaan, a fading movie star desperate to save his stardom and take over the multiplexes. He goes to Yudi to get a Bollywood script written in Hollywood style. Meanwhile his girlfriend played by Kalki Koechlin doesn’t give him any space. When they break up, she doesn’t accept it and believes they’re still together. Ileana D’Cruz and Ranvir Shorey are also featured. Preity Zinta makes a cameo playing one of Yudi’s ex-girlfriends, who he turns to from time to time. Kareena Kapoor Khan also makes a special appearance. The makers of “Go Goa Gone” say this spoof takes on love, friendships, plagiarism and happy endings and promises fun and entertainment.

UngliUngli” Starring Emraan Hashmi, Kangana Ranaut, Sanjay Dutt, Randeep Hooda, Neil Bhoopalam, Angad Bedi, Neha Dhupia; directed by Rensil D’Silva; music by Sachin-Jigar.

Director Rensil D’Silva started his career as a writer, credits include, “Aks,” “Rang De Basanti,” and “Student of the Year.” He is also the writer and director for the Indian TV series “24.” This sleek, modern action-packed vigilante drama from the director of “Kurbaan” is not the usual Dharma Production romance. It tells the story of five friends who are fed up with day to day corruption and decide to deal with it their own way, by punishing the offenders themselves. The “Ungli” gang includes Emraan Hashmi, Kangana Ranaut, Randeep Hooda, Neil Bhoopalam and Angad Bedi. Inspector Kaali, played by Sanjay Dutt, is the cop on task to bring a stop to their operations. Last year, filming had to be completed rapidly as Dutt was about to surrender to serve jail time. Director D'Silva, who also wrote the script, says this character driven film is about friendship and what happens when a group of friends take justice into their own hands. Shraddha Kapoor is featured in a promotional song – Dance Basanti.
