Though Diwali may be officially over, Festival of Lights celebrations are still ongoing in some communities. And if you thought activities slow down after our festival season, guess again. Events continue back-to-back in Tampa with the Miss India Florida pageant Nov. 14 followed by the 27th annual India Festival the next day and the Asian American Convenience Store Owners Association (AACSA) convention on Nov. 16. Also there are musical programs that are not be missed, “Sharad – Celebrating Autumn,” a multimedia musical journey by Kanniks Kannikeswaran, on Nov. 22 in Tampa. The same day, South Florida will host music director duo of Salim and Sulaiman at the Coral Springs Center for the Arts.

Our column Under the Cover returns with some exciting book reviews. Feel strongly about a topic, we welcome Letters to the Editor. Community organizers, inform us about future events in your town. Do follow us on twitter @khaasbaat and join us on Facebook for details about late-breaking events. Khaas Baat is proud to be the ONE AND ONLY Sunshine State publication to offer comprehensive coverage of happenings in your Florida Indian community.
