“Ankur Arora Murder Case” Starring Arjun Mathur, Kay Kay Menon, Vishakha Singh, Tisca Chopra, Paoli Dam; directed by Suhail Tatari; music by Chirantan Bhatt.
Written by Vikram Bhatt, this drama is based on a real-life incident where a boy dies on the operation table due to medical negligence. The shooting of this medical thriller started after nearly one year of research. Arjun Mathur plays Rohan, a young medical intern with dreams. He looks up to his mentor, Dr. Asthana, played by Kay Kay Menon, chief of surgery at their hospital. All Rohan wanted was be like him. Vishakha Singh is Riya, a fellow intern and also the love of his life. However, everything changes when an eight year old boy named Ankur comes to the hospital for treatment and later dies due to medical negligence. Rohan realizes that a good surgeon is not necessarily a good person. Tisca Chopra plays Nandita, Ankur’s mother, who along with Rohan embarks on a turbulent journey to fight for justice. Paoli Dam is the lawyer who argues the case against Rohan’s mentor, the hospital and even the love of his life.

From the team of “Tanu Weds Manu,” this movie is about the journey of love from childhood to manhood. Set in Varanasi, the movie brings out the colors of the cultural capital of India. Tamil actor Dhanush (of Kolaveri Di fame) makes his Hindi film debut playing Kundan, a hometown boy full of innocence and charm. Sonam Kapoor is Zoya and is seen playing different ages in the film. From childhood, Kundan tries everything to win Zoya over or just make her smile. He follows her, jumps into her rickshaw, stands outside her house, gets slapped multiple times, but doesn’t give up. And then there’s another guy, Abhay Deol who is running for the CM elections and seems to have lost his heart to Zoya as well. So begins the story of never giving up and a race to win the heart of that special girl. The soulful musical score and soundtrack by A.R. Rahman is sure to be a treat.
“Ghanchakkar” Starring Vidya Balan, Emraan Hashmi, Rajesh Sharma, Namit Das; directed Raj Kumar Gupta; music by Amit Trivedi.
After “Aamir” and “No One Killed Jessica,” director Raj Kumar Gupta takes a comedic turn in this caper, which features Emraan Hashmi as Sanjay, master safe cracker who hopes to retire from a career in crime. He joins forces with two dangerous criminals to commit one last heist, a bank robbery after which he will never have to worry about money again. Everything goes as planned and the robbery is successful. Sanju is tasked with hiding the money until things quiet down and the loot can be divided. Three months later, his associates return to collect their share but alas, Sanju fails to even recognize them. They discover he is suffering from severe amnesia after an accident. Their only option is to stay with Sanju and his feisty Punjabi wife Neetu, played by Vidya Balan, until Sanju remembers where the money is hidden. Is Sanju playing a dangerous game? The makers say “Ghanchakkar” is a quirky rollercoaster suspense ride that aims to surprise, shock and entertain at every turn.
