Numerous noteworthy events are coming up in the West Central Florida area. First is the discourse on Bhagwat Gita June 11-15 by Pandit Rajin Balgobind in Tampa. Then Shankar Ehsaan Loy – Celebrating 100 Years of Indian Cinema concert June 29. Presented by American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI) Charitable Foundation and Florida Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (FAPI), the performance is themed “Be Fit – Be Cool” and addresses childhood obesity awareness. Moving farther east is the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha Yagna (in Hindi) from June 30 to July 7 by Bhaishri Rameshbhai Oza in Casselberry/Orlando. And then there’s also the Shani mandir inauguration as well as two-year anniversary June 8-9 at the Hindu Temple of Southwest Florida in Fort Myers.
