HINDI MOVIE RELEASES EXPECTED THIS MONTH

“Rowdy Rathore” Starring Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha, Paresh Ganatra, Nassar, Supreeth Reddy; directed by Prabhudeva; music by Sajid-Wajid.

After “Wanted,” ace dancer and choreographer Prabhudeva directs another action-packed Hindi masala entertainer. Akshay Kumar returns to his action roots as Shiva, a small-time thief and conman. He crashes a wedding and meets and falls in love with Priya, played by Sonakshi Sinha. Suddenly, a young girl named Neha arrives who mistakenly believes him to be her father. Shiva realizes that her father, IPS Officer Rathore, is his lookalike. But that’s not all, Shiva also becomes the target of several life-threatening attacks by a gang of criminals who seem to know something he doesn't. Shiva stumbles upon a secret as he tries to save his love and stay alive. The secret takes him to a small town in Bihar that is terrorized by a ruthless MLA and the mafia he controls. Soon, he becomes the people’s only hope for redemption. Expect lots of fighting, chases, explosions and, of course, song and dance.

This heartwarming story revolves around a father and son and is written and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Sharman Joshi plays the dad, Rusy, whose young son dreams of playing cricket at Lord’s stadium. Boman Irani plays the grandfather. To fulfill his son’s dream, the otherwise honest and upright Rusy does the first dishonest act of his life. He steals Sachin Tendulkar’s bright red Ferrari and the wild ride begins. They soon encounter a group of unusual characters; there’s a relentless wedding planner, a comedic pair of loyal attendants, a greedy politician and his reckless son and a mechanic who specializes in stolen cars. In the midst of this chaos, another story unfolds; a grumpy old man with secret wounds, and a rivalry that goes back 50 years. A naive Rusy must dodge bullets for one unforgettable night. “Ferrari Ki Sawaari” is about a person who believes in the passion of pursuing a dream no matter how difficult it is to achieve. Watch for Vidya Balan in a special song appearance.

 

 


Shahid Kapoor romances Priyanka Chopra in “Teri Meri Kahaani.”

“Teri Meri Kahaani” Starring Shahid Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Prachi Desai, Neha Sharma; directed by Kunal Kohli; music by Sajid-Wajid.

The director of “Hum Tum” and “Fanaa” promises audiences something new and fresh with his latest musical romantic drama. If you liked them together in “Kaminey,” here’s your chance to see Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra together again, again and again. The film’s tagline is "thrice upon a love story” with the premise set between 1910, 1960 and 2012. The story takes us through a journey of eternal love between a couple who have vowed to love each in this lifetime and beyond. The story begins in 1960s Bombay where Kapoor is Govind, a struggling musician, while Chopra plays Rukhsar, an established actress. The films then moves to present-day England with the characters of Radha and Krish and finally goes back in time to Punjab, 1910, where Kapoor plays the heroic Javed, a poet who woos his lady love with shayari. Expect to see elaborate period sets and costumes and hear various musical genres.
