“Badmaash Company”: Starring Shahid Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Vir Das, Meiyang Chang, Anupam Kher, Kiran Juneja; directed by Parmeet Sethi; music by Pritam.  

This Yash-Raj production takes place in Bombay in the 1990s and revolves around four young people who come together to start an import business of goods longed for by yuppie Indians. Shahid Kapoor plays Karan, a genius from a middle-class background with big ideas whose ego is his only flaw. He’s joined by his best friend Chandu, played by Vir Das, a wannabe actor. Anushka Sharma is Bulbul, a small-town girl who comes to the city to make it big. She joins Karan’s company and falls in love. Meiyang Chang (of Indian Idol fame) plays Zing, a boy with dreams searching for his identity but heading nowhere until he meets Karan. The foursome’s “Badmaash Company” makes them millionaires. With larger than life schemes, they do all the wrong things the right way. They roller-coaster ride through glitz and glamour where the stakes and risks are high. When the entrepreneurs are suddenly forced to shut down, they come up with one last perfect plan to beat the system.

Ziyah Vastani and Darsheel Safary star in "Bumm Bumm Bole"

 

 

 

“Bumm Bumm Bole” Starring Darsheel Safary, Ziyah Vastani, Atul Kulkarni, Rituparna Sengupta; directed by Priyadarshan; music by M.G. Shreekumar, Tapas Relia, Azaan Sami.

This family entertainer tells a touching story about the unique relationship between two young children, a brother and sister, and the dilemmas they face in their life and how they decide to overcome them. Darsheel Safary plays Pinu, a good boy who cares for his family and loves his little sister Rimzim, played by the adorable Ziyah Vastani. The movie follows their adventures after Pinu loses Ziyah’s shoes and the two siblings agree to share one pair. They decide not to tell their parents while Pinu figures out a plan to win his sister a new pair. Director Piyadarshan says he’s proud to make films, which children can watch with their parents. , The plot has been adapted from an Iranian film, “Children of Heaven.” The makers say “Bumm Bumm Bole” is sure to bring out the hidden child inside all of us.

‘KITES’ HITS THE BIG SCREEN MAY 21

Hrithik Roshan returns to the big screen with the romantic action film “Kites,” releasing in theaters worldwide on Friday, May 21, from Reliance BIG Pictures. Set in the United States, the Rakesh Roshan production was shot in Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Santa Fe and features Mexican actress Barbara Mori. Directed by Anurag Basu and produced by Rakesh Roshan, the movie also stars Kangana Ranaut, Kabir Bedi and Nick Brown.

SYNOPSIS:

In the harsh terrain of the Mexican desert, a mortally wounded man is left for dead in the heat of the desert sun. This is J. Once a street smart, carefree young guy. Now, a wanted man. As death looms, the only thing that keeps him alive is the quest to find the love of his life, Natasha. A woman betrothed to another man, but surely destined for J. A woman who comes into his life like a bolt of lightning and changes it forever. “Kites” is a story of love that goes beyond barriers, boundaries and cultures. It is a story of passion that defies every rule, of a relationship that takes two lovers on a thrilling journey filled with precious moments and of betrayal that is beyond comprehension.
