Bol BachchanStarring Ajay Devgn, Abhishek Bachchan, Asin Thottumkal, Prachi Desai, Asrani, Archana Puran Singh; directed by Rohit Shetty; music by Himesh Reshammiya and Ajay-Atul.

After making the successful “Golmaal” series, director Rohit Shetty is back. Inspired by the original 1979 classic comedy “Gol Maal,” Abhishek Bachchan stars as Abbas Ali. He leaves Delhi for Rakanpur with his sister Sania, played by Asin Thottumkal, to earn a living after losing a legal fight for ancestral property. A well-wisher, Shastri Chacha, has advised them to migrate to his village where he can get Abbas a job with the powerful Prithviraj Raghuvanshi, a wrestler played by Ajay Devgn. When he arrives, Abbas saves a child trapped inside a temple by breaking open the lock. The whole village is shocked by his actions. Prithviraj arrives and takes charge of the situation. When asked his name, Abbas's friend announces a fake name to avoid any fury if it became known that the temple lock had been broken by a Muslim. A series of cover-ups and comic situations ensue, where to cover one lie, Abbas must pad with bigger lies. Soon, people believe he has a twin brother with no moustache and one person must act as two characters. Amitabh Bachchan makes a special appearance in a song. The makers promise fun-filled action and hilarious performances to make a good summer escape.

Trishna” Starring Freida Pinto, Riz Ahmed, Roshan Seth, Anurag Kashyap; directed by Michael Winterbottom; music by Amit Trivedi and Shegeru Umebayashi.

Based on Thomas Hardy's classic novel “Tess of the D'Ubervilles,” this English language film from director Michael Winterbottom stars Freida Pinto as Trishna. Set in present-day India, Trishna tells the story of one woman whose life is destroyed by a combination of love and circumstances. Jay Singh, played by Riz Ahmed, is the son of a wealthy property developer, enacted by Roshan Seth. Raised in England, Jay comes to India to manage his father's business. Trishna lives with her family in Rajasthan. She meets the young Brit and he offers Trishna a job working at one of his father’s hotels. If you’ve read the novel, you’ll realize the characters of Alec and Angel are combined in Jay who finds every opportunity to win Trishna's affection and she shyly accepts. They soon move to Mumbai and become a couple, but Jay's deep family bond threatens their bliss. Just as they affected Tess, social constraints are present. Despite their feelings for each other, they cannot escape tragedy and the pressures of a rapidly changing society. Trishna is torn between family tradition and the ambitions that her education has given her. Watch for beautiful photography shot in Jaipur and Mumbai and haunting melodies from Amit Trivedi.
