Picking the title was Amrita Hunjan, Miss India-United Kingdom. Runners-up were Reshma Gliet, Miss India-Netherlands and Thebashini Jeevan, Miss India-Singapore.

Contestants from 16 countries went through several segments, presenting talent items, modeling eastern and western wear, and answering questions before the judges. Others on the panel along with Shaw were Dr. Shashi Agrawal of the United States, Mrs. Naidu of South Africa and Bollywood personalities such as Dino Morea, Preeti Jhangiani, Sanjay Suri, Aarti Chhabria.

“It was indeed an honor for me to be chosen for the judges’ panel,” said Shaw, who also attended the annual Pravasi Bharatiya Divas earlier in the week in Mumbai. The Tampa resident was invited to a star-studded dinner music party hosted by film actor-couple Hema Malini and Dharmendra in Mumbai too.
