TIPS FOR SPRING WEAR!

April showers! Styles are ready to bloom further into spring and summer. Here are some tips to quicken the process!

RAINY DAYS

GRAYS. Gray is having a moment, perfect for the rainy days of April. A gray sari trimmed with lime green is bold. A gray suit with pink stonework or embroidery is beautiful!

BLUES. 50 shades of blue are it! From sky shades to ocean hues, it’s blue, blue and blue! Mix the gray trend with blue and your look becomes serene. Lenghas in monochromatic turquoises and teals are popular and scream party. Palazzo suits in royal and navy blues with gold, silver or multicolor embellishments speak elegance.

GOLDENS/BEIGES. Earthy tones are here to stay. Beige golden saris with laced or banarasi silk pallus look so classic especially contrasted with red or magenta lips and makeup. Suits in jewel tones are now paired with sheer golden dupattas. Nude makeup and gold jewelry complete the look.

SPRING BLOOMS

FOLIAGE. Who knew greens would have such a moment this spring? Sage, olive and surprisingly forest green hues are the color of choice now. Green ruffle saris with floral trims or blouse are perfect for an outdoor soiree. Green suits with foil block prints or painted artwork are worthy conversation pieces. To make heads turn even more, opt for heavier smoky eye makeup or deep dark lips!

LIGHT FLORALS. Whites and neutrals are looking gorgeous with floral edgings, just right for this time of year. A white sari with a thin rose applique border or vintage ruffle floral print blouse is ethereal. Tan and light brown patiala suits with neon floral patterns stand out amongst all!

SUMMER BOUQUETS

HEAVY FLORALS. Florals as you have been seeing and reading are everywhere. In ensembles, in accessories, in jewelry, even in heels – they’re not enough lately. So much so, designers are still mixing floral prints together. Different prints in flowers of all types are being mixed and matched. The secret to keeping the look together is to match two or more like shades together. Beautiful!

MIDSUMMER NIGHT. Black is back, more than ever. From top to bottom, a simple black sari with a contrasting and shimmering jewel toned blouse will have you shine. A black patchy or color blocked lengha with bright hues is free spirited and fun!

Spring is a beautiful time of year and you should dress it too – it’ll make you feel even more beautiful! Enjoy the season, especially the rain. Because every shower is followed by sunshine! And as always, remember to ‘gro’ with style!
